What you can export
A complete copy of everything we hold against your business:
- Business profile (name, address, branding, settings)
- Quotes, invoices, expenses, enquiries, customers, to-dos
- Team members (if you're on Teams)
- Notifications and feedback you've submitted
- Your account email and account-level dates (created, last sign-in, consent timestamp)
It's a single JSON file — designed to be readable, portable and easy to hand to your accountant or another tool.
How to download
- Settings → Account → Download my data.
- Tap Download (JSON). We bundle everything server-side and stream the file straight to your browser.
- The file lands as
vontra-export-<your-business>-<date>.jsonin your Downloads folder.
That's it — no email round-trip, no waiting for a support agent.
Limits
You can export up to three times in a 24-hour window per account. That's a sensible upper bound for anyone genuinely keeping a copy; if you hit it, you'll see a "try again in 24 hours" message and can come back later.
Your rights
This feature is how we deliver on GDPR Article 15 (right of access) and Article 20 (data portability) — you can ask for your data, you can take it with you, and you can do it without going through a human at our end. If anything's missing from the export, contact support and we'll add it.
